Career Guideline in Software Development Seminar organized by Computer Technology.

Daffodil Polytechnic Institute’s Computer Technology department successfully organized a Career Guideline in Software Development Seminar on January 21, 2023.

The seminar was attended by students from the Computer Technology department. The seminar provided students with guidance on how to prepare themselves for a career in software development.

The seminar was divided into two sessions. The first session was a presentation by the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) Controller of Examinations, Mr. Md. Kepayet Ullah. He discussed the importance of a strong foundation in computer science and engineering for a career in software development.

The second session was a panel discussion with industry professionals. The panel included Orion Group’s IT Head, Mr. Md. Nurul Haque, Shirin Chowdhury (General Manager, Head of HR Ekhon TV), and Esquire Electronics Ltd.’s HR Head, Mr. Md. Fazle Faraj.

The panelists discussed the skills and knowledge that are essential for a career in software development. They also shared their personal experiences and advice for students.

The seminar was a valuable opportunity for students to learn about the career prospects in software development. It also helped students to develop a plan for their future careers.

Electrical Carnival-2023 organized by the Electrical Club of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute

Daffodil Polytechnic Institute’s Electrical Club successfully organized the Electrical Carnival-2023 on 25-26 May 2023. The program included an Industrial Workshop, an Electrical Project Exhibition, and a Circuit Competition.

The Electrical Carnival-2023 program featured projects created by students. This allowed students to learn about innovations, which helped them to develop their creative thinking skills.

At the industrial workshop, students received training from engineers from various industrial organizations. This helped them to become familiar with the real world of industry and acquire the skills they need to be successful in the workplace.

At the electrical project exhibition, students showcased their various projects created based on their plans and innovative ideas. This allowed them to showcase their skills and creativity.

At the circuit competition, students competed by creating different types of circuits. This allowed them to showcase their knowledge and skills in electronics.

The event was attended by Engineer Md. Abdur Rahman, Managing Director of Esquire Customer Care Ltd. In addition, the event was attended by Dr. Kamrul Hasan Ripon, Principal of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute, Engineer Zahurul Islam Farhad, Vice Principal, and all department heads, teachers, and students.

The event was presided over by Dr. Kamrul Hasan Ripon, Principal of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute. He encouraged the students to develop their innovative thinking skills and wished them success in their future careers.

The Electrical Carnival-2023 program was a successful and fruitful initiative for the students. It will help the students to develop their knowledge and skills in electrical engineering.

A delegation of 20 students from Daffodil Polytechnic Institute embarked on a journey to India.

A team of 20 students from Daffodil Polytechnic Institute went on a 10-day trip to India, where they participated in the International Volunteer & Internship Program (IVIP) at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

The program, which is designed to provide students with global industry-academy experience, allowed the Daffodil Polytechnic students to learn about Indian culture and society, as well as to gain practical experience in their chosen fields of study.

The students participated in a variety of activities, including:

– Volunteering at local schools and community organizations
– Attending lectures and workshops on topics such as social justice, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development
– Conducting research on topics of interest to them


The students also had the opportunity to visit the KISS campus, which is home to a variety of academic and research facilities. They also visited other places of interest in Bhubaneswar, including the Lingaraj Temple, the Jagannath Temple, and the Khandagiri Caves.

The students said that the IVIP program was a valuable experience that helped them to grow as individuals and professionals. They expressed their gratitude to Daffodil Polytechnic Institute for providing them with the opportunity to participate in the program.

Students of Daffodil Polytechnic participated in the National Hackathon for Cyber Security Fintech Industry.

Daffodil Polytechnic students participated in a national hackathon. The hackathon was held at Daffodil Smart City and was open to students from all Daffodil institutions. Four teams from the Computer Department and one team from the Electrical Department of Daffodil Polytechnic participated in the hackathon.

The theme of the hackathon was “The Role of Cyber Security in Ensuring National Security.” Participants were asked to develop technological solutions to address various security issues.

The projects developed by Daffodil Polytechnic students were highly innovative and creative. Students used new technologies to address various security issues. Their projects included:

⭕ An artificial intelligence (AI)-based security system that can detect online attacks.
⭕ A data encryption method that can protect data from cyber-attacks.
⭕ A multi-factor authentication method that makes user access more secure.

According to the judges of the hackathon, Daffodil Polytechnic students are highly skilled and talented. They are capable of providing effective technological solutions to address various cybersecurity issues.

Daffodil Polytechnic opens up new opportunities for diploma engineering students in Singapore

Daffodil Polytechnic, a leading engineering institution in Bangladesh, recently visited the Nanyang Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore. The visit was led by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, the Chairman of the Daffodil Family.

During the visit, the two institutions agreed to collaborate with Daffodil Polytechnic Institute on teacher and student development, as well as technical support. This collaboration is expected to create new opportunities for Daffodil Polytechnic students, especially those studying diploma engineering.

The collaboration will allow Daffodil Polytechnic students to experience Singapore’s world-class education system. It will also help to strengthen educational and research ties between the two institutions. In addition, the collaboration will create new opportunities for students to gain international skills and experience in Singapore, which will be valuable for their careers.

Daffodil Polytechnic Institute organized the first-ever “1st Graduation Ceremony 2023”

In a significant milestone in the history of Bangladesh, Daffodil Polytechnic Institute organized the first-ever “1st Graduation Ceremony 2023” exclusively for Diploma in Engineering students. The ceremony took place at Daffodil Plaza, Sobhanbagh, Dhaka, on July 26, 2023.

The Honorable Minister, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Mustafa Jabbar graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Mr. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, MP and former Captain of Bangladesh National Cricket Team delivered the Speech as Graduation Ceremony Speaker and Mr. Md. Johor Ali, Member, National Skill Development Authority under Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Abu Mamtaz Saaduddin Ahmed, Project Director (ASSET Project) of Ministry of Education , Mr. A K M A Hamid, President, IDEB, Prasenjit Chakma, Additional Residential Representative, UNDP Bangladesh were present as the special guests.

The graduation Ceremony was also addressed by Dr. Mohammad NuruzZaman, Chief Executive Officer of Daffodil Family, Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman, Secretary, Bangladesh Technical Education Board and Mr. K M Hasan Ripon, Principal, Daffodil Polytechnic Institute, Rahat Are Smriti, President; and Mrityunjoy Roy, General Secretary of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute Alumni Association. 

In the Graduation Ceremony a total of 350 students has been conferred upon diploma degrees and among them 10 best result oriented diploma holders were awarded ‘Merit Gold Medal’ and 3 were awarded Chairman’s Award in different categories. Best student’s award went to Jerin Tasnim Jaba of Computer Science and Engineering department. 

While addressing among the students Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jobbar said, Graduation Ceremony ends your institutional education. Now it’s time to use your acquired education for the welfare of the country and the society. If the education you have acquired is of no use to the society and the country, it will be a great injustice and a great waste of the concerted efforts of your parents, teachers and the institution. So, he urged the students to take a pledge today that you will try to give back to the country multiples of what you have received and contribute to the formation of digital Bangladesh.

Technology can never replace the essence of human presence, as emphasized by our esteemed Chief Guest Mr. Mustafa Jabbar

He expressed hope that Daffodil Polytechnic Institute will continue its development and progress. The minister also said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman paid maximum emphasis on technical education just after independence. Ahd her daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working hard to build Smart Bangladesh through the implementation of Digital Baladesh.

While addressing as the Graduation Ceremony speaker Mashrafe Bin Mourtaza said, life doesn’t go according to the plans you make for it. Each of you will go through highs and lows, the difficult and the easy, and, regrettably, there may occasionally be too many challenges and not enough smooth sailing. How you handle both situations will determine your genuine level of success.

Mr. Mashrafe Bin Mourtaza, the distinguished speaker at the Graduation Ceremony, sheds light on the essence of leadership qualities.

He urged the students to follow the footprints of some of the high achievers, or active doers, or entrepreneurs, or a visionary like your  Chairman, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan; you will need to embark and re-embark on terrains of work and innovation “where angels fear to tread.” he added.

Gracing the graduation ceremony as a distinguished guest, Mr. A K M A Hamid, President of IDEB, highlighted the vital role of nurturing skilled graduates for a prosperous future. He extended his gratitude to Daffodil Polytechnic Institute for hosting impactful events like the 2023 graduation ceremony.
Joining the graduation ceremony as an honored guest, Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman, Secretary of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, expressed his optimism that Daffodil Polytechnic Institute has been setting a commendable example for other polytechnic institutes across the nation to emulate.

At the welcome address Principal K M Hasan Ripon said, Daffodil Polytechnic Institute has catalyzed innovation in education systems and ensured total digital transformation of its academic systems. We are taking all efforts to develop the modern flagship institution, remarkably different in its devotion to access and equity; to the quality of its teaching, learning, research and to meeting national and regional socio-economic needs”, he added.

He also said, Daffodil Polytechnic Institute has created innovative courses, bolstered academia-industry relationships, expanded international collaboration, integrated innovation and creativity into its educational systems, placed the utmost importance on extra-curricular activities and ensured complete digital transformation of all its delivery systems. আজ ড্যাফোডিল পলিটেকনিক ইনস্টিটিউট, Career Launch Pad এর উদ্যোগে  সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন হলো Innovation & Skills Competition-2023. শিক্ষার্থীদের মেধা ও উদ্ভাবনী শক্তির বিকাশের লক্ষ্যে বিভিন্ন ডিপার্টমেন্টের বিভিন্ন ডোমেনের   মোট ৩৯টি প্রজেক্ট নিয়ে শিক্ষার্থীরা উপস্থিত  হয়েছে। তন্মধ্যে স্মার্ট অ্যাপস, ক্লাউড টেকনোলোজি এবং বৈদ্যুতিক প্রযুক্তি সম্পন্ন প্রজেক্টগুলো উল্লেখযোগ্য ছিলো।

এই প্রোগ্রামের অংশগ্রহণের মাধ্যমে, শিক্ষার্থীরা তাদের দক্ষতা, সৃজনশীলতা এবং সমস্যা সমাধানের ক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধি করা এবং তারা তাদের প্রযুক্তিসম্পন্ন দক্ষতাকে  চাকরির বাজারে তুলে ধরতে সক্ষম হবে এছাড়াও তারা  নিত্য নতুন আবিষ্কারে উৎসাহিত হবে। বিভিন্ন ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং সেক্টরের শিক্ষার্থীরা Innovation & Skills Competition-2023-এ অংশগ্রহণ করে। এই অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীরা তাদের উদ্ভাবনী ধারণা এবং প্রযুক্তিগত প্রকল্পের কাজগুলি প্রদর্শনের জন্য একটি প্ল্যাটফর্ম পেয়েছে। ইভেন্টের লক্ষ্য ছিল শিক্ষার্থীদের গবেষণা ও উন্নয়নমূলক কাজে নিয়োজিত হতে অনুপ্রাণিত করা এবং উৎসাহিত করা। শিক্ষার্থীরা তাদের প্রযুক্তিসম্পন্ন শিক্ষাকে চাকরির বাজারে তুলে ধরতে সক্ষম হয়েছে। বিভিন্ন স্কুল, কলেজের প্রযুক্তি-প্রিয়াসী শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকা এবং ছাত্র-ছাত্রীবৃন্দ এই প্রোগ্রামে প্রজেক্ট পরিদর্শন করতে এসেছেন। পরিদর্শনকালে তারা সকল প্রজেক্ট নিয়ে তাদের মতামত ব্যাক্ত করেন।

অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন জাতীয় দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন কর্তৃপক্ষের সদস্য (সমন্বয় ও মূল্যায়ন) যুগ্ম সচিব মোঃ জোহর আলী। তিনি শিক্ষার্থীদের নতুন উদ্ভাবন এবং সৃজনশীল বিকাশের জন্য উৎসাহিত করেন। প্রধান বিচারপতি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC)এর পরিচালক,অধ্যাপক ড. এ.কে.এম. ফজলুল হক। এছাড়াও অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ড্যাফোডিল ফ্যামিলির সম্মানিত সিইও জনাব মোঃ নুরুজ্জামান, ড্যাফোডিল পলিটেকনিক ইনস্টিটিউটের অধ্যক্ষ কে এম হাসান রিপনসহ সকল বিভাগের বিভাগীয় প্রধান, শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকা এবং ছাত্র-ছাত্রীবৃন্দ।

Innovation & Skills Competition-2023 Successfully Organized By Daffodil Polytechnic Institute.

The Innovation & Skills Competition-2023 was successfully completed on 22nd July 2023, under the initiative of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute’s Career Launch Pad. This competition aimed to showcase the talent and innovative power of technical students from different departments. A total of 39 projects were presented and circumscribed various domains such as smart apps, cloud technology, and electrical technology-based Projects. The event aimed to foster the development of student’s skills and promote technical education in the country, thereby enhancing the overall quality of technical education.

Students from different academic backgrounds participated in the Innovation & Skills Competition-2023. The event provided them a platform to exhibit their innovative ideas and technical project works. The competition featured projects related to smart apps, cloud technology, and electrical engineering based projects. The event aimed to inspire and encourage students to engage in research and development Works. Through their participation, students were able to promote their skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities and they were able to nurture their skills as well as expose their engineering education to the real job market. During the program, technology-loving teachers and students from various schools and colleges visited to observe the projects. They eagerly expressed their views on all the projects.

Md. Johar Ali, Member (Coordination & Assessment) Joint Secretary of the National Skill Development Authority, Honored the program as the chief guest. Professor Dr. A.K.M. Fazlul Haque, Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), participated at the event as the Chief Justice. Also present at the event were Honorable CEO of Daffodil Family, Mr. Md Nuruzzaman, the Principal of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute, KM Hasan Ripon, as well as the heads of departments, teachers, and students from all departments.
