British Council and DPI

Daffodil Polytechnic Institute is the 1st & only Polytechnic which working with British Council for Book Reading Competition.

British Council and Daffodil Polytechnic Institute are collaborating on several programs starting from April 2011. These programs are the milestones of understanding between the two reputed institutions.

Book Reading Competition: At present Book, Reading Competition is being implemented at Daffodil Polytechnic  Campus of DPI. More than one hundred students of Computer, Electrical, Telecommunication and Civil, Architecture and Textile are taking part in it. The students will read some selected texts provided by British Council and after three months there will be an assessment. Those who will secure 40% marks will get certificates from British Council. Top scorers will get the opportunity to learn English through different courses offered by British Council free of charge. The champion in the reading competition will be offered a trip to London sponsored by British Council.

Corporate Membership and teacher/student training: Being a corporate member, Daffodil Polytechnic Institute will enjoy access to the vast resources and language training programs of British Council. Resources include books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs and documentary films under the category of Open Learning Centre. Teachers and students will be trained for English language proficiency in small groups as required and proposed by the Institute.
